Articles of Incorporation (Excerpt)

　

Chapter 1 General Provisions

(Name)
Article 1: This Association shall be called the General Incorporated Association International Commission on Glass Japan.

(Office)
Article 2: The main office of this Association shall be located in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo.
2. This Association may establish secondary offices by resolution of the Board of Directors. The same applies to changes or abolishment of these offices.

(Purpose)
Article 3: This Association aims to cooperate with the International Commission on Glass to promote academic understanding and mutual cooperation in the fields of science, technology, art, history, and education related to glass.

(Business)
Article 4: To achieve the purpose mentioned in the preceding article, this Association shall conduct the following activities:

1. Assistance with the financial and accounting operations of the International Commission on Glass
2. Support for the organization of glass-related workshops, research presentations, and symposiums held by the International Commission on Glass
3. Assistance with surveys, publications, and other activities related to glass conducted by the International Commission on Glass
4. Support for the activities carried out by the Technical Committee within the International Commission on Glass
5. Other necessary activities to achieve the purpose of this Association
The activities mentioned in the preceding paragraph shall be conducted nationwide.

Chapter 2 Members

(Categories)
Article 5: The members of this Association shall be divided into the following three categories. Individual members and corporate members shall be regular members, and regular members shall be the employees as defined in the Act on General Incorporated Associations and General Incorporated Foundations (hereinafter referred to as the "General Incorporated Associations/Foundations Act").
(1) Individual Members: Individuals who have joined in agreement with the purpose of this Association
(2) Corporate Members: Corporations that have joined in agreement with the purpose of this Association
(3) Special Members: Local governments, universities, educational institutions, and other individuals or organizations recognized by the Board of Directors who have joined in agreement with the purpose of this Association
